Thanks - Michael Comment 14 Roel van Meer 2010-10-18 03:30:30 UTC > > I can test this on 32 bit if anyone's interested. Just did so with 32-bit samba 3.5.2 and I can reproduce it there as well, so with my setup the problem exists both in 32-bit and 64-bit archs. > And also http://ajdesignsoftware.com/error-code/error-code-was-nt-status-invalid-handle-0xc0000008.php

Simply downgrading to 3.4.8 results in the problem going away. With 3.4.8, wbinfo -online-status shows BUILTIN as online and DEMO as offline at first.

Fid: A 16-bit value that the Server Message Block (SMB) server uses to represent an opened file, named pipe, printer, or device.

ADS doesn't need to be able to resolve your hostname at all in order to let you enumerate groups or users, so I think the static vs. The SMB server guarantees that the Fid value returned is unique for a given SMB connection until the SMB connection is closed, at which time the Fid value may be reused. check with wbinfo HINT when I checked winbindd.conf with testparm, I have get some errors, until I put an empty or comment line before the line with the include statement :-) http://ajdesignsoftware.com/error-code/error-code-mbho-408-1mbba-invalid-status.php Hostname to IP: 192.168.1.3 IP to hostname: can't be found.

The bug report has a patch that fixes the problem for me (though I can't guarantee that it's the proper solution). I can also confirm that changing is_internal_domain() to only use sid_check_builtin(sid) fixes it, which means there is something wrong with the handling of internal domains. After the auth request of wbinfo, winbindd is trying to contact the domain in winbindd_dual_pam_auth_samlogon(). Check NTLM auth.
